In a recent episode of MBC’s variety show “Good Day”, G-Dragon visited Hong Jin-kyung’s house alongside Defconn, Jo Se-ho and Kian84. Expressing admiration, G-Dragon said, “Hong Jin-kyung is truly an amazing person.” To welcome him, Hong Jin-kyung even cosplayed as G-Dragon. She excitedly exclaimed “G-Dragon is in my house! I’m officially a successful fan, right?”, making everyone laugh.

As G-Dragon entered, BIGBANG’s hit songs played in the background, a special event Hong Jin-kyung had prepared for his visit. She said “I’ve been your fan for a long time”, to which G-Dragon warmly responded, “I’m also a fan of yours, sister.”

Then, Hong Jin-kyung brought out a black notebook and asked, “G-Dragon, you come from the Andong Kwon clan, right?” He confirmed it. She then shared an interesting historical fact, “If you trace the lineage of the Kwon family, it goes back to Kim Al-chi of the Silla Dynasty. The connection between the Kim and Kwon families is that the founder of the Andong Kwon clan originally came from the Gyeongju Kim clan.”

She continued, “During the Goryeo era, the descendants of Kim Al-chi made great contributions and were granted the Kwon surname by King Taejo of Goryeo.” Kian84 then humorously chimed in “Taejo Wang Geon? If you say Wang Geon, you think of Choi Soo-jong! If it weren’t for Choi Soo-jong, G-Dragon would still be a Kim”, cracking everyone up.

Actor Choi Soo-jong is widely known for his iconic portrayal of King Taejo in KBS1’s drama “Taejo Wang Geon”, which was beloved by many. Kian84’s joke playfully referenced this famous role.
